Prices of essentials beyond common people’s reach

Prices of some essential goods are going beyond purchasing capacity of common people, specially, lower-and middle-income group.
Every month they are spending big amount of money for unnatural price hiking of essential commodities.
The unscrupulous traders in wholesale and retail markets recently have increased the prices of essential foodstuffs like ata (whole meal flour), sugar, rice, chicken, soyabean oil, fish and egg.
The prices of different varieties of rice, ata and other vegetables maintained a high trend in the city’s kitchen markets reflecting ineffectiveness of market mechanism taken by the government. [Read More]
