Speakers including eminent local government experts at a dialogue on Thursday called for increased use of ICT tools in conducting the activities of the local government to deliver fast services to the citizens.
They also demanded for expansion of ICT usage among citizens as well as creating awareness among people, making the ward councils effective, strengthening monitoring and supervision on use of ICT tools, making ICT very much accessible to the rural people at an affordable cost, if possible free of cost and to include people of rural areas in the ICT integration programmes.
