The government sponsored high-powered committee on Monday suggested to withdraw another 173 cases including seven cases filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) considering those as politically motivated.
Chaired by State Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Advocate Quamrul Islam, the 22nd meeting of the committee was held at the conference room of the Home Ministry here.
The meeting was attended, among others, by State Minister for Home Advocate Shamsul Haque Tuku, Home Secretary Abdus Sobhan Sikder, Law Secretary Md Anwarul Haque, Additional Secretary of the Home Ministry Iqbal Khan Chowdhury and other concerned officials. [Read More]
