Hundreds of city cleaners and sweepers employed by Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) as well as by private service sectors are working in a risky atmospheres and expected to be infected as they have been working without proper safety components.
The cleaners face the risk of pneumonia, allergies, diarrhoea or food poisoning due to fungus attack for handling decomposed food bare -handed. They are also at a high risk of suffering from typhoid, ulcer, blisters and other infectious diseases, experts say. [Read More]
