A High Court order that granted bail to former BNP state minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon in an extortion case was upheld at the Supreme Court yesterday.
The court of the Chamber Judge of the Appellate Division passed ‘no order’ following a government petition filed seeking stay on the HC order.
Following the Chamber Judge’s order, now there is no legal bar to Milon to be released from jail, his lawyer Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon said.Earlier on August 17, the HC granted ad-interim bail to Milon for three months in this case. [Read More]
