Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhit has said the present inflation rate 7.39 is not alarming on the backdrop of global situation.
He said this while talking to journalists at the Secretariat yesterday after a meeting with an IMF delegation headed by its Asia-Pacific Regional Director Anup Singh.
According to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), the inflation rate stood at 7.39 at the end of fiscal year 2009-10 at though the government projected 6.5, which was 0.89 per cent less than real inflation. [Read More]
