The next session of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) will begin at 4 pm on September 20.
President Zillur Rahman has summoned the sixth session of the parliament under the authority vested in him under Article 72 (2) of the constitutional.
The fifth session of parliament had started on June 2 and it was prorogued on July 22. It was the budget session of the current financial year. The budget was passed on June 30.
Discussions on the budget took place for a total of 40 hours and 44 minutes. A total of 211 MPs took part in discussion the main budget while 10 MPs on the supplementary budget. [Read More]
