The Government on Monday appointed elite-anti-crime Rapid Action Battalion’s (RAB) Director General Hasan Mahmud Khandaker as the country’s new police chief.
“Hassan Mahmood Khandker has been appointed as the new Inspector General of Police,” a Home Ministry spokesman told BSS.
He said the service of Khandker’s predecessor Nur Mohammad, who served as the police chief for the past three and half years, was placed under the Foreign Ministry for a subsequent diplomatic assignment abroad. [Read More]
