The High Court has asked the government to submit all documents related to the lease of BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s Cantonment house within September 27.
The bench of Justice Nazmun Ara Sultana and Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif on Monday gave the order upon a petition by the leader of the main opposition, Khaleda.
The court also adjourned hearing on her petition until September 27.
Attorney general Mahbubey Alam argued for the government and Barrister Moudud Ahmed stood for Khaleda.
Alam told the court that Khaleda’s house was listed in a category that was not allowed to be leased out. [Read More]
