Confusions have arisen over a possible mishap at the Bibiyana gas field.
Chevron, which operates the gas field in the northeastern district of Habiganj, in a statement said several tremors were felt in the gas field on Sunday evening.
Their assertion is not widely shared, though.
The meteorological office, the designated agency in this regard, did not record any tremors in the region on Sunday evening.
According to Chevron that has a 98 percent stake of the Bibiyana field, no infrastructure or property damage is yet to be reported by the tremors, according to the company. [Read More]
