A Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) official, Shahidur Rahman (45), allegedly committed suicide by shooting on his head with his licensed pistol at his DCC Staff quarter residence at Banani in the capital early yesterday.
According to family sources, the victim was a terminal manager of the city corporation. He stayed at flat No-C- 21 /2 Nagor Nibas, Road No -27 of Banani with his wife, two daughters and one son.
Officer-in-Charge of Gulshan Police Station Kamal Uddin said that Shahidur had his Sehri, offered his Fazr prayer and then asked his wife to leave the room. [Read More]
