Following the government directive, all CNG stations in and around Dhaka city remain closed for six hours from 3 pm yesyeday, enhancing sufferings of the people as the auto-rickshaw and taxi cab drivers charged excessive fares.
The government on August 12 ordered that all CNG (compressed natural gas) refuelling stations would have to be closed a day from 3 pm to 9 pm to increase gas supply to household consumers, especially to the power plants.
Earlier, the government has stopped gas supply to Karnaphuli Fertiliser Company Ltd (KAFCO) to divert it to power plants and water treatment plants. [Read More]
