The price of green chilli has reached Tk 200 per kg on the first day of Ramzan rising by about Tk 80 in a single day.
Selling at Tk 120 on Wednesday, chilli rose by over 65 percent.
Wholesale price was Tk 100 earlier. On Thursday it rose to Tk 140.
Green chilli was being sold at Tk 140 at the city’s biggest wholesale market Reazuddin Bazar on Thursday, although in the same market, chilli’s retail price was Tk 200.Kazir Deuri Bazar, Karnafuli Market and Chhotopul Kanchabazar in the city also had similar price of chilli. [Read More]
