Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP Mirza Fakrul Islam Alamgir yesterday alleged the Government is intervening on the media illegally.
It (government) is busy to establish one-party rule like ‘Bakshal’ by gagging the freedom of press, he also alleged.
Talking to journalists after a human chain programme in front of High Court in the capital, the BNP leader said the freedom of expression, freedom of media and democracy are not safe in the hands of the present government.
Demanding immediate release of Mahmudur Rahman, he called upon the government to shun the paths of oppression. [Read More]
