The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Constitution Amendment has turned into a Constitutional Commission with inclusion of technocrat Law Minister Barrister Shafique Ahmed and Law Commission Chairman Justice Abdur Rashid, says BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury.
Talking to The New Nation last night, “The committee cannot be considered as a Parliamentary Committee as two non-parliamentarians were given its membership”.
The BNP leader made the comment a day after inclusion of the Law Minister and the Law Commission Chairman as members of the special committee though they are not Members of Parliament (MPs). [Read More]
