The price situation remained capricious as different essential commodities including rice maintained an up trend in the city’s kitchen markets yesterday.
The price of sugar shot up by Tk 4 per kg on the advent of the Holy Shab-E-Bharat. Per kg of sugar was sold between Tk 48 and Tk 50 yesterday that was between Tk 44 and Tk 45 in the previous weeks, traders said.
The consumption of sugar usually goes up on the occasion of Shab-E-Barat as people used to prepare some delicacies on that special day. [Read More]
