The law enforcing agencies in separate drives have recovered six hijacked cars and arrested 11 alleged criminals on different charges in the city.
On secret information, a team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) led by Assistant Police Commissioner Mohammad Golam Azad Khan yesterday conducted a drive and held chief of car hijacking syndicate Jubair Rahman alias Rabbi (30) from Hatirpul area in the city and recovered a X-Corolla car from his possession. Later, on the basis of his confessional statement, Police also recovered three cars from Dhakeswari temple area, Purbabakshnagar area of Demra and Golapganj thana of Sylhet. [Read more]
