Construction of additional rail route proposed: BPC opens control cell to monitor diesel supply

Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) has set up a central control cell to ensure 14.75 lakh tons diesel supply to different districts for irrigation during ongoing Boro season.
The main objective of the cell is to ensure adequate supply of diesel and also to ensure fair price of the fuel during irrigation season, sources said.
Meanwhile, BPC has also lunched regional control cells in Bogra, Khulna, Dhaka, Sylhet and Barisal districts. It has already appointed 16 high level officials at field level to monitor diesel supply in northern parts of the country. [Read more]
