Jatiyatabadi Chhattra Dal (JCD) observed first day of two-day student strike on the Dhaka University campus yesterday (Tuesday).
In response to the strike most of the students remained away from the campus out of fear. The scheduled course final examinations were held on the day ignoring the strike programme.
JCD brought out a procession on the university campus in support of the strike while Bangladesh Chhattra League (BCL) staged demonstration opposing the strike.
DU Vice Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique blamed JCD for Monday’s incident describing it as part of a plan to create instability on the campus. [Read more]
