Workers of Envoy Garments here putting barricade on Abdullahpur-EPZ road are staging demonstration Monday morning demanding increase in pay.
Witnesses said the workers of the factory, owned by Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) President Abdus Salam Murshedi, gathered in front of factory at about 8am and started demonstration to press home their demand.
On information, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel and police rushed in and dispersed the workers from the factory gate. [Read more]
