The prices of different varieties of rice remained high while those of potato, and sugar have slightly decreased in the city’s kitchen market yesterday.
The coarse variety of rice has increased 12.77 per cent, ata (packed) 13.95 per cent, ata (loose) 15.38 per cent, mug dal 5.95 per cent while onion 31.58 per cent, potato 29.85 per cent and green chili 28.57 per cent for the last one month, according to daily market report prepared by the state owned Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB).
