BNP rejects redrawing border

Former foreign secretary Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury has outright rejected any possibility of redrawing of Indo-Bangladesh border as has been desired by Indian High Commissioner Pinak Ranjan Chakravarty prior to his departure for New Delhi.
“The unmarked land and enclaves are not in a position of great strategic importance, so it is doable and soluble,” Pinak Ranjan told a Dhaka daily.
Pinak emphasised redrawing of Indo-Bangladesh border to comprehensively address all the old issues on land boundary and enclaves to remove sufferings of people of the two countries. [Read more]
