Indian government’s announcement for a separate state of Telangana has infuriated sporadic violence in the state, incited quarrel among the ruling congress party and also intensified movement in other parts the country, especially in Darjeeling of West Bengal.
Dr Manmohan Singh’s government on Wednesday gave a green signal for a separate Telangana state, following widespread protests in Andhra Pradesh and the deteriorating health condition of Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao who had been on a fast-unto-death for 11 days. [Read more]
