A police team allegedly raided a house and tortured women and children mercilessly at Jatrabari in the city recently.
The law enforcers, at the dead of night, also took the family members to the Jatrabari Police Station and forced them to sign an undertaking, the victims alleged at a press conference at the Bangladesh Crime Reporters Association yesterday.
A case has been filed against the officer in charge of Jatrabari Police Station Moniruzzaman, sub-inspectors Jiarat Hossain and Mazharul Islam, audit officer Mazharul Islam and few other police personnel. [Read more]
