The 33rd death anniversary of the country’s legendary leader Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani was observed across the country yesterday by placing floral wreaths and offering fateha at the majar.
Hundreds of admirers, followers and activists of different political, social and cultural organisations gathered at the majar of Bhashani at Santosh in Tangail and paid their homage in observance of his death anniversary. To mark the day, leaders of Bangladesh National Awami Party (Bangladesh-NAP) led by its acting president Jebel Rahman Gani and general secretary M Gulam Mostafa Bhuiyan in the morning went to Santosh to place wreaths and offer fateha at his majar.
