Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Dr ATM Shamsul Huda yesterday said the elections to the pourashavas and union parishads will be completed by May and October next respectively.
Elections to these local government bodies will be held next year for smooth completion of the ongoing developments works of the government and requests by the Union Parishad Chairmen Samity, he said.
He said this while visiting the possible sites for setting up upazila-level server stations in Mohadebpur, Rani Nagar, Sadar, Niyamatpur and Manda Upazilas and exchanging views with the officials and elite at Naogaon Circuit House. [Read more]
