A case was filed against 100 leaders and activists of Awami League and its front organisations here on Friday night in connection with Thursday’s attack on Barisal BNP office.
Mantu Khan, a member of district BNP convening committee, filed the case with Kotwali Model Police Station under the speedy trial act, police said.
The complainant alleged that cadres of Awami League and its front organizations attacked the BNP office and ransacked its furniture and valuables. They also set fire to different rooms of the three-storey building causing a loss of Tk 3,00,000 in damage. [Read more]
