A senior government official was shot and seriously injured allegedly by two hired killers in broad daylight in city’s Farmgate area in front of Tejgaon Police Station yesterday.
Engineer Fazle Rabbi Morshed Munshi, Executive Engineer of the Department of Family Planning received two bullets in his back shoulder, said Officer in-Charge of Tejgaon Police Station Mahbubur Rahman. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in a critical condition.
The OC said the criminals opened fire on Fazle Rabbi in front of the police station when his car was stuck in a traffic jam. [Read more]
