The turnover at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) rose all time high to cross Tk 12 billion yesterday, jacking up the benchmark index to its highest ever level.
Earlier, the highest turnover was recorded at Tk 11.49 billion on July 2 this year.
Stockbrokers, however, said the overall market situation remained healthy although some poor-performing shares have been over-valued.
They said that the bullish market for sometime now has attracted new investors while brokerage houses across the country are facilitating them to bring in new capital in the market, causing the turnover to reach such level. [Read more]
