The holy Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the two major religious festivals of the Muslims, will be celebrated all over the country on Monday, if the moon heralding the month of Shawal is sighted anywhere in the country today (Sunday) ending Ramadan fasting.
If the Shawal moon is not sighted today, Eid will be celebrated on Tuesday. The National Moon-Sighting Committee is scheduled meeting at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque this evening to decide whether Eid will be on Monday or Tuesday depending on sighting of the moon. [Read more]
