The Superior Selection Board (SSB) is going to meet on Wednesday to take decision on the fate of those government officials who were deprived of promotion this time.
According to sources in the Ministry of Establishment, the special meeting of the SSB is being held at the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The government gave promotion to 594 cadre officials last week which is considered ever large in the recent time. Of them, 271 senior assistant secretaries promoted to deputy secretary status while 163 deputy secretaries to joint secretary level and 60 joint secretaries to additional secretary position.
