The holy month of Ramzan begins in the country as decided by the National Moon Sighting Committee.
The Muslims all over the country have taken preparations to welcome the holy month and to fast from dawn to dusk with religious solemnity.
Tarabih prayers will be offered in the mosques at night. The devotees will take traditional sehri and iftar.
President Zillur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted the countrymen on the occasion of the holy Ramadan.
