Some leading NGO personalities yesterday said that they would face closure if loan recovery in ‘Aila’ hit areas is kept suspended for one year.
The suspension of loan recovery for the period will affect financial discipline of the micro-credit institutions, they added.
Expressing their concern at a meeting with the Finance Minister AMA Muhith at his ministry, they said the embargo imposed on recovery of agricultural and micro-credit loan would pose a threat to the existence of the micro-credit institutions. [Read more]
