Students of Philosophy department of the Dhaka University formed a human chain yesterday demanding punishment of those responsible for assaulting Ayesha Akter Sumi, a student of the department.
The human chain was held at 12:00pm at the foot of ‘Aparajeyo Bangla’ in front of Arts building of the university. On 26 June, Mahbub with his 10-12 friends allegedly, assaulted Sumi near her residence at Rupnagar of Pallabi Thana in the city and tried to abduct her.

They failed to abduct her as the local people rushed to the spot and caught three of them. [Read more]
