Communications Minister Syed Abul Hossain on Sunday ruled out press reports that Bangabandhu Bridge is facing serious threat due to erosion by the Jamuna river.
“The Bangabandhu Bridge is out of danger as the river erosion-hit areas are far away from

the bridge,” he said while talking to journalists after visiting the site here.
Quoting a Water Development Board official, reports were published in a section of the press that Bangabandhu Bridge has been facing serious threat due to erosion by the Jamuna river at Sirajganj Town Protection Embankment and near ‘Guide Bandh’ in Bhuapur. [Read more]
