The factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), student wing of Bangladesh Awami League, of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit are trying to establish their own individual dominance on the campus resulting in different internal conflicts among the groups on the campus.
After dissolving the last committee of JU last March 23 after a fierce clash between the president- secretary group and the Azibur-Aion group, many factions emerged in JU BCL.
Now the JU BCL is divided into many groups which may at any time lock in violent clashes over establishing supremacy on the campus. [Read more]
