Water Resources Minister Ramesh Chandra Sen yesterday said a movement along with people would be launched if India wants to construct the Tipaimukh Dam harming Bangladesh’s interest.
“If the Tipaimukh Dam becomes harmful to the country, we’ll launch a strong movement against it with people,” he said while visiting erosion-hit Mogalbasa area in the morning.
Erosion by the Dharla River has taken a serious turn with incessant monsoon rain.
Ramesh said the Parliamentary team would visit the Tipaimukh Dam site on July 15 to collect necessary data in this regard. [Read more]
