Eight persons arrested in the case filed in connection with the triple murder of Karwan Bazar of the city were placed on a seven-day remand yesterday for interrogation about the incident.
The accused are Md Rakib Ahmad Sohel, Mamun Naimul Islam Ripon, Abdus Salam Dewan, Taher Ali, Ajmal Khan Majlis, Rajib Mahmud and Tanvir Mahmud. Investigation Officer (IO) sought a ten-day remand, while Magistrate Faisal Atiq Bin Quader granted remand for seven-days.
On June 26, the accused allegedly killed three persons including businessman Faruq Mollah and his personal bodyguard. [Read more]
