BNP secretary general Khandaker Delwar Hossain yesterday criticised Awami League leadership for implicating BNP’s senior joint secretarty Tarique Rahman in the 10 trucks arms haul case in Chittagong.
“The ruling Awami League leaders have an ingrained habit to launch smear campaign against Tarique Zia to tarnish his image,” he told journalists at a press briefing at the party office at Nayapaltan in the capital.
After failing to prove any corruption allegation against Tarique, the Awami League led government is now trying to implicate him in the false arms case, he added. [Read more]
