The Jatiyatabadi Oikya Parishad (JOP) has boycotted the election of the registered graduate representatives in the Dhaka University Senate alleging gross irregularities and vote rigging.
Member of a student organisation interfered with the election in collaboration with the University Administration and also harassed a senior teacher and candidate of the JOP. This led to the scuffle, witnesses said.
The BNP-Jamaat backed group, at a press conference at the National Press Club on Monday, alleged that the Senate Election Commission with the backing of the DU Administration committed irregularities. [Read more]
