At least 3,000 police personnel were deployed across capital Dhaka on Friday as part of specially coordinated operation to improve security, the city police chief said.
State Minister for Home Tanjim Ahmed on Thursday declared the coordinated campaign.
“At least three security posts have been deployed at each police station. Women police personnel are also there,” Dhaka Metropolitan Police commissioner AKM Shahidul Haque told bdnews24.com late on Friday night.
