The Ministry of Food and Disaster Management yesterday directed the food department officials to procure the Boro rice from farmers directly to ensure fair price of it.
Food and Disaster Management Minister Dr Abdur Razzaque said this to the reporters after an urgent meeting with the Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, Finance Minister Abul Mal Abdul Muhit, LGED Minister Syed Ashraful Islam.
“I have directed the food department officials to intensify monitoring to ensure fair price of rice during Boro procurement,” Razzaque said. [Read more]
