Islami Oikya Jote Ameer Mufti Fazlul Haq Amini yesterday demanded the resignation of Law Minister Shafiq Ahmed and Director General of Islamic Foundation Shamim Mohammad Afzal over the reported comments about Kawmi Madrasah.
He announced a two-day protest programme, a rally at Muktangon on April 18 and a representative conference in Dhaka and demonstration at district and thana level on June 21.
Addressing a press conference Amini also threatened to continue the agitation until the demands are met. [Read more]
