A total of 822 arrested people, including 780 BDR jawans, were taken to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court yesterday morning for appearance before several judges in connection with the last month’s Peelkhana carnage.
The arrested BDR jawans and civilians were taken to the court at about 9:00am.
They were produced before several judges in groups. There were 40 to 45 suspects in each group. The judges fixed the next date of appearance of all the alleged accused before the courts on May 12. [Read more]
