The parliamentary by-election to six constituencies will be held today.
The Election Commission (EC) has taken all necessary measures for holding by-elections in Bogra-6 (Sadar), Bogra-7 (Gabtoli and Shahjahanpur), Rangpur-3 (Sadar), Rangpur-6 (Pirganj), Kurigram-2 (Sadar, Fulbari and Rajarhat) and Kishorganj- 6 (Bhairab and Kuliarchar).
Seven seats of different constituencies were vacated for by elections as some political figures including President Md Zillur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman HM Ersahd who have won from more than one seats in the 9th parliamentary election on December 29 last year.
