An US team of food officials is now in Dhaka to develop a Food Security Programming Strategy (FSPS) for Bangladesh, informed sources said.
The FSPS will provide an overview of the current context and situation for food security programming in Bangladesh and will supplement the ongoing Title II Food for Peace (FFP) multi year assistance programme.
The FSPS will also provide guidance on addressing Bangladesh specific risks and vulnerabilities related to poverty, livelihoods opportunities, food insecurity and malnutrition issues. [Read more]
