Country’s highest foreign currency earner readymade garment industry saw a huge export order fall during the last two months, BGMEA’s newly elected president Abdus Salam Murshedy said seeking a 10 per cent cash incentive to face the challenges of the current global recession.
Murshedy made the demand Monday, a day after the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) demanded Tk 6,000 crore to rescue the economy of the country.
Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) also demanded 10 per cent cash incentive on export performance on Sunday. [Read more]
