Eight persons were killed and four others injured when a salt laden truck veered off the road and turned upside down on the western side of the jamuna Multipurpose Bridge early yesterday morning.
Police said the truck , bound for Nandigram upazila in Bogra, was also carrying twelve persons .The vehicle turned turtle as the driver lost control of the steering and fell on the people on board killing eight of them on the spot and injuring four others.
The accident occurred near Konabari under Kanar Khondow upazila in Sirajganj. [Read more]
