The Jahangirnagar University unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was dissolved yesterday following Monday’s incident of armed clash between two rival groups of the organization.
The Central Committee of the BCL, associate organisation of ruling Awami League, dissolved its JU unit on Tuesday. The central president Mahmud Hasan Ripon confirmed it over telephone.
He also told The New Nation that they had already asked the university authorities to take academic and legal actions against the perpetrators of the incident. [Read more]
