USAID to help curb school dropouts, neonatal deaths

The USAID, would focus more on sustaining school enrollments and cut neonatal deaths in Bangladesh, senior officials of the agency said yesterday. “Bangladesh has achieved major success in school enrollment at primary level, but only 40 percent of them go to high schools,” Margot Ellis, deputy assistant administrator for Asia, told journalists at American Club here.
Mission Director of USAID Bangladesh, Denise Rollins also spoke on the occasion, attended, among others, by Press and Information Officer of the US Embassy Harvey W. Fernovitz. [Read more]
